Intersection

Intersection.

The intersection.

The crossing.

The meshing of the paths.

The merging of the paths.

The interlock.

The locking in.

The holding.

The holding of the hands.

For the two shall become one.

The two paths.

The path of the one.

The coming together.

The taking of the hand.

The holding of the hand.

The bond that ties together.

The point of separation.

The point of connection.

If two agree as touching.

The touching.

It was the touching.

It is in the touching.

Don’t be touchy about the touching.

You need to get a feeling for it.

How does it feel?

What is the point?

What is the point of connection?

What is the point of your connection?

At first at arms length.

But you could not stay away.

You were compelled to come closer.

Drawn as if by a strong magnet, you had to touch her.

At first apprehensive, yet you could not let go, you had found that which was lost.

You could not let go, once you had taken hold.

The crossing of the paths.

The path of the crossing.

The intersection.

Am I not making the way?

What is it you see?

Block by block, brick by brick, the one laying next to the other, the path forming by your very hand. At first a path in the desert plain where there was no path. Now a crossing of the path, with an established path, another path.

You know the question, what is your question?

Who has right of way?

You know the answer, for I have shown you the answer.

You pulled out on to the highway, expecting to give way, expecting to have your path blocked.

Yet what happened this morning?

The dominant path, gave way to my path. As I merged they all just stopped and let me go wherever I wanted. There was no reason for them to do so. It just made me laugh, for I realised that they had recognised what I was driving.

Are you not the way maker?

For you know the way.

You literally know the way.

Are you not in the drivers seat?

It amuses me that you are asking others for direction, you ask them where they would like to go.

You look to them, yet what is it you see written all over their face?

They have no clue. They are looking for my direction.

When your enemy comes looking for you, what is it you must do?

Show them the door

I know you just want to kick them out and close the door.

I know that you want to lock it up and never return.

Yet it is time for a new path.

This is what I want you to do.

Open the door.

Yes open the door.

I know your next response, you want to be the gentleman and say “after you”, yet they have no knowledge of the path ahead.

They come into your house, they are unfamiliar with the layout and need your guidance.

Repeat after me, “after me”.

Repeat after me, “follow me.”

Gosh that is sooooooo hard Lord!

I know it has been such a long time since you were the leader.

For your beloved is always in front even when she does not know where she is going!

Let me take you back to this point.

Micah 2:12-13 I will surely gather all of you, O Jacob; I will surely collect the remnant of Israel. I will bring them together like sheep in a fold, like a flock in the midst of their pasture. They the fold and the pasture shall swarm with men and hum with much noise. The Breaker will go up before them. They will break through, pass in through the gate and go out through it, and their King will pass on before them, the Lord at their head.

For the breaker opens the door for you, and says “after you”

Then looks to you to lead your followers through.

John 14:1-6 DO NOT let your hearts be troubled (distressed, agitated). You believe in and adhere to and trust in and rely on God; believe in and adhere to and trust in and rely also on Me. In My Father’s house there are many dwelling places (homes). If it were not so, I would have told you; for I am going away to prepare a place for you. And when (if) I go and make ready a place for you, I will come back again and will take you to Myself, that where I am you may be also. And to the place where I am going, you know the way. Thomas said to Him, Lord, we do not know where You are going, so how can we know the way? Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me.

Do you now understand?

I have paved the way. I am ahead of you and I am with you.

Am I not before you?

Have I not promised “they will break through”

Have I not tied you together?

Tooing and frooing, going to, coming from, coming closer, walking forward, walking away. The weaving of the path.

The weaving of the path.

The fashioning of the path.

The crafting of the path.

The way that is made.

The making of the way.

You see it before you, everyone making their own way.

Yet this is not your way.

For I am making your way.

For I am making your way.

For I am making your way.

Step by step.

Stone by stone.

Stone by stone.

The sling stone now the paving stone.

The slung stone now the stepping stone.

For you shall step upon.

For you shall step upon.

For you shall step upon.

That which was thrown against you, you shall step upon.

For you shall obtain traction.

What is it you see?

The giant stones, landing in the thick mud, providing a means to progress, to make progress.

Have you not seen, have your not heard, is this not your word!

PLOP!

For at this word, all shall come to attention, all shall rise.

For you stand upon that which is solid, in the presence of uncertainty.

Have I not laid the foundation of your path?

Did I not say I am making a way!

For the way rises before you.

For THE WAY rises before you.

For the way stands before you.

Come away with me.

Yes come away with me.

I’ll take you places that you have never seen before.

For what is it you see?

A great uprising. As I rise all around me stand to attention and look to me for direction! Psalms 37:3-7 Trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) in the Lord and do good; so shall you dwell in the land and feed surely on His faithfulness, and truly you shall be fed. Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord roll and repose each care of your load on Him; trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) also in Him and He will bring it to pass. And He will make your uprightness and right standing with God go forth as the light, and your justice and right as the shining sun of the noonday. Be still and rest in the Lord; wait for Him and patiently lean yourself upon Him…

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
