Independence
In a state of dependence, “in” “dependence”.
You say “it depends” and yet what does it depend on?
You say it depends on how this will work out, or how that will work out.
You feel like you are so dependent.
You want to be independent of others, of their strength or lack thereof, their resources or lack thereof.
You feel restrained by their power, contained by their power, their action or inaction. You feel your path is bound to their path.
Yet is it not I that determines your course, your step, your outcome?
Hosea 6:3 Yes, let us know (recognize, be acquainted with, and understand) Him; let us be zealous to know the Lord to appreciate, give heed to, and cherish Him. His going forth is prepared and certain as the dawn, and He will come to us as the heavy rain, as the latter rain that waters the earth.
You say this links to that, this connects with that, for this to come to pass depends on that.
You are reluctant to lean upon, to rely upon, to rest upon, to be supported by.
Yet you are not without support.
For I will be leaning towards you.
Leviticus 26:9 For I will be leaning toward you with favor and regard for you, rendering you fruitful, multiplying you, and establishing and ratifying My covenant with you.
I am providing something for you to hold on.
The hand rail in the place of the slippage, at the top of the hill, at the crest of the mountain.
You can rely upon my support.
In the place of the torrent, in the place of the flow, in the place of the slip, you shall not slip.
For I will give you progress on the high place, on the dangerous place, on the difficult place, on the point of difficulty.
From the sharp place, from the place of the point, from one point to another you shall have progress.
Psalms 18:32-33 The God who girds me with strength and makes my way perfect? He makes my feet like hinds’ feet able to stand firmly or make progress on the dangerous heights of testing and trouble; He sets me securely upon my high places.
Lean into me, rely on me, take hold of me, rest on me, depend on me.
For it is I that holds your hand up.
Exodus 17:11-15 When Moses held up his hand, Israel prevailed; and when he lowered his hand, Amalek prevailed. But Moses’ hands were heavy and grew weary. So the other men took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Then Aaron and Hur held up his hands, one on one side and one on the other side; so his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. And Joshua mowed down and disabled Amalek and his people with the sword. And the Lord said to Moses, Write this for a memorial in the book and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua, that I will utterly blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under the heavens. And Moses built an altar and called the name of it, The Lord is my Banner;
For I define the outcome, I determine the prerequisites, I have given you the basis to rise, the platform to proclaim, the point of authority.
For it shall be as you say, it shall be as you proclaim, it shall be manifest.
Write it down, feel free to describe it how you wish.
For it pours from your pores as you pause.
For you are my flow, you go with my flow, for I flow in the desert, streams in the desert.
For the stream determines its own path, and all around depends upon it.
For my power is in the flow. Power to break all that contains, power to nourish, power to refresh.
For a great refreshing is coming.
Feel my refreshing power, power of strength, restoring power, power to restore, yes power to restore.
Place your hands on that which is broken and watch me restore it.
Feel my refreshing rain. When you feel like you cannot pause, you cannot rest, rely on me, lean into me, take my strength.
Matthew 11:28-30 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls. Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest (relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls. For My yoke is wholesome (useful, good—not harsh, hard, sharp, or pressing, but comfortable, gracious, and pleasant), and My burden is light and easy to be borne.
For I am making something out of this flow.
For the flow rises before you, a giant wave.
Yet it forms in my hands, is shaped by my hands.
In an instant a mountain, shaped by my hand.
An elevated flow, a solid flow, a high place, a strong tower. The place of elevation.
