In Motion
Going through the motions.
What motion are you going through?
What are you through with?
What is your desired motion?
In what way are you moving?
Lay down your pieces.
Put down your pieces.
Be at peace with your pieces.
For to make the picture you first need to lay down the pieces.
When you are through, go through.
Go through the boxes.
Go through the loss.
Go through the fragments.
Go through and set right and make plain.
For you have gone through, now go through.
From one movement to the next movement, a seamless movement.
From one thing to the next.
From A to B, then to C and D.
For I have set things in motion.
Prepare for motion. Be in motion.
From one motion to the next I am orchestrating this movement.
I know what you are going through.
I have knowledge of it. I have gone through before you.
What I put in motion cannot be stopped.
One more time with feeling…
But I don’t want to feel, I am tired of being tired, I am over wrestling with my emotions, fighting myself, beating myself into submission. I have decided I am over it, but will go through the motions.
I too have decided I am over it, I agree you are over it!
Why not act like you are over it?
I don’t feel like I am over it, I feel like I am beneath it. Wherever I turn there is another wave to jump over.
Wherever I turn then is a turnaround. For even the wave turns back upon itself.
Once more with gusto….
No thanks, I’d rather just go through the motions…
For I know what you are going through.
Yet I know where you are going.
Where is your sense of adventure?
Can I not just sit still? Can I not just be at rest? Can I not just dwell in the place of refuge?
You want to lock yourself in the dungeon, when I have called you to sit on the throne!
You behave like a captive, you hold yourself back, you hold yourself down, you stand upon your own neck, you look down upon yourself.
You fear the release. You look upon the chain and are instantly bound by it.
Yet it breaks in your hand. For I have placed brokenness in your hand. For I have placed breakthrough in your hand.
You feel the weight, you carry the weight, yet what you carry lies broken in your hands.
You look upon it, in your bloodied hands, you pour over it, you closely examine it, you reflect on all that was, and all the could have been.
Yet it is my blood that covers that which was broken.
You look upon the loss, when I look upon the gain.
What is it you have gained?
You feel the loss, not the gain.
For you have gained so much, you have obtained much, and yet feel the loss.
For I have placed breakthrough in your hands.
You regard the broken chain as a loss, and yet for me it is the greatest victory.
For I have placed release in your hands.
I have broken that which could not be broken.
For you have broken free.
For that which holds you is broken.
For that which binds is broken.
For I have placed freedom in your hands.
For you lack context, you fail to understand context.
For I know what was before the breaking, and I know what comes after.
For I have broken that which binds you.
For you are bound to be free.
Your binding was to bring forth freedom.
For I have appointed you as the ruler of freedom.
I want you to be a resource for freedom, for all the captives shall come to you looking for freedom.
For I have placed freedom in your hands. Just speak the word and they shall be free.
For you shall be the author of freedom.
They shall come and ask you what it is Ike to be free, and your answer will be just “feel free”.
For freedom is my gift to you, and your gift to give to others.
The emotion you lack comes from your posture. For the captive only goes through the motions for he has no other choice.
The one who is free determines his course, demonstrates by his motion the freedom he possesses.
Psalms 118:5-14 Out of my distress I called upon the Lord; the Lord answered me and set me free and in a large place. The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me? The Lord is on my side and takes my part, He is among those who help me; therefore shall I see my desire established upon those who hate me. It is better to trust and take refuge in the Lord than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust and take refuge in the Lord than to put confidence in princes. All nations (the surrounding tribes) compassed me about, but in the name of the Lord I will cut them off! They compassed me about, yes, they surrounded me on every side; but in the name of the Lord I will cut them off! They swarmed about me like bees, they blaze up and are extinguished like a fire of thorns; in the name of the Lord I will cut them off! You my adversary thrust sorely at me that I might fall, but the Lord helped me. The Lord is my Strength and Song; and He has become my Salvation.
