Hold on!

Hold on to something.

Best hold on to something.

Get a good grip.

Get a strong grip.

Get a great grip on goodness.

Take hold of my goodness.

Grab a hold of this.

Grab a firm grip on this.

My goodness.

Say “my goodness”.

Shout “my goodness”.

Proclaim “my goodness”.

For who can stand my goodness.

Who can stand in the place called “my goodness?”

Bowled over by my goodness.

Flooded by my goodness.

Take hold of yourself and say “my goodness”

Take hold.

Take hold.

Just take hold.

Just get a grip.

Just get a grip man.

Just gird up your loins.

Just receive my grip.

Don’t be so touchy about it.

Do not withdraw your hand.

Just hold out your hand.

Come on, just put out your hand.

Just close your eyes and put out your hand.

For you expect to receive pain, immense pain, catastrophic pain, unbearable pain, and you can bear no more.

You cannot close your eyes, you withdraw your hand, you hide your hand, you have no desire for more.

You can take no more.

I know you can take no more.

Here just receive.

Here just receive.

Can you not receive, will you not receive?

Here take my grip.

Isaiah 41:8-13 “But you, Israel, are my servant. You’re Jacob, my first choice, descendants of my good friend Abraham. I pulled you in from all over the world, called you in from every dark corner of the earth, Telling you, ‘You’re my servant, serving on my side. I’ve picked you. I haven’t dropped you.’ Don’t panic. I’m with you. There’s no need to fear for I’m your God. >I’ll give you strength. I’ll help you. >I’ll hold you steady, keep a firm grip on you. “Count on it: Everyone who had it in for you will end up out in the cold— real losers. Those who worked against you will end up empty-handed—nothing to show for their lives. When you go out looking for your old adversaries you won’t find them— Not a trace of your old enemies, not even a memory. That’s right. Because I, your God, have a firm grip on you and I’m not letting go. I’m telling you, ‘Don’t panic. I’m right here to help you.’

Here take my strength.

Here take my joy.

Here take my peace.

Here take my confidence.

Just receive it.

For it is my work.

Yes it is the work of my hands.

It is my handiwork.

In the hottest of fires, I am at work.

I make greatness amidst the fire, I take greatness through the fire.

For I am at work in the fire.

Celebrate, pop the cork, for my goodness bursts forth.

See the work of fire, behold the fireworks!

Bursts of fire, fountains of great fire, for the sparks shall fly upwards.

In the overwhelming place, in the depths of despair, from the place of immense pressure, I am bursting forth.

Watch for me, in the fourth watch.

Mark 6:47-51 Now when evening had come, the boat was out in the middle of the lake, and He was by Himself on the land. And having seen that they were troubled and tormented in their rowing, for the wind was against them, about the fourth watch of the night between 3:00–6:00 a.m. He came to them, walking directly on the sea. And He acted as if He meant to pass by them, But when they saw Him walking on the sea they thought it was a ghost, andraised a deep, throaty shriek of terror. For they all saw Him and were agitated (troubled and filled with fear and dread). But immediately He talked with them and said, Take heart! I AM! Stop being alarmed and afraid. And He went up into the boat with them, and the wind ceased (sank to rest as if exhausted by its own beating). And they were astonished exceedingly beyond measure,

For behold I am coming over.

I cannot contain myself anymore.

I’m stepping in, now it is my turn!

“Lift your hands and say I receive!”

Psalms 27:13-14 I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living. Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
