High Point

Lifted higher.

So much higher.

Placed upon the high place.

Placed upon the pinnacle.

Lifted up.

Leave all your baggage behind. Come out from behind the baggage for I have called you to be King!

What is the point?

Placed upon the point.

Elevated not to a point.

Elevated to the point!

The point of elevation.

For it is I that elevates you.

I’m taking you to the high place.

Placed upon a pedestal.

Placed upon the platform.

For who told you not to be a leader?

Who is it that informed you?

Who is it that taught you?

Who is it that formed you?

For shall the clay argue its form with the potter?

Is it not your design?

Who shaped you?

Who called you?

Who formed you?

Who appointed you?

For the one who holds the highest place, lifts you up.

Let’s run this up the flag pole.

Let’s stand upon this tent pole.

For it unfurls before you.

See it unfurl before you.

A great habitation.

A place for the multitude.

A place for my presence to dwell.

For I say to you come up higher!

Be lifted up!

For your position is the high ground, the highest ground.

For what I am building is huge.

What is it you see?

A picture of a baby playing with blocks. The tiny hand pushing the small block into place. In a moment, in an instant the block was a huge block of stone. With such small strength the tiny hand moved the huge block into place He then looked up to see how he could place the next block in the planned tower. But he could not reach as the huge block was so much taller than him. Then the giant hand of God came and placed a tower of blocks into place.

You ask “What is the purpose of the tower Lord?”

I am building a monument for my glory!

Genesis 28:16-18 And Jacob awoke from his sleep and he said, Surely the Lord is in this place and I did not know it. He was afraid and said, How to be feared and reverenced is this place! This is none other than the house of God, andthis is the gateway to heaven! And Jacob rose early in the morning and took the stone he had put under his head, and he set it up for a pillar (a monument to the vision in his dream), and he poured oil on its top in dedication.

What is it you are afraid of?

I’m not afraid of heights, I am afraid of falling.

You need not be afraid of the fall.

Is it not I that holds you up?

Is it not I that holds you in position?

Do you not have the faith of Moses?

Acts 7:22 So Moses was educated in all the wisdom and culture of the Egyptians, and he was mighty (powerful) in his speech and deeds.

This is how I handle those who have been rejected.

Acts 7:35 It was this very Moses whom they had denied (disowned and rejected), saying, Who made you our ruler (referee) and judge? whom God sent to be a ruler and deliverer and redeemer, by and with the protecting and helping hand of the Angel that appeared to him in the bramblebush.

Sermon:

Rejection always tries to attach itself to your calling.

Speak to the rock. Abandon your insecurity.

Numbers 20:6-8 Then Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly to the door of the Tent of Meeting and fell on their faces. Then the glory of the Lord appeared to them. And the Lord said to Moses, Take the rod, and assemble the congregation, you and Aaron your brother, and tell the rock before their eyes to give forth its water, and you shall bring forth to them water out of the rock; so you shall give the congregation and their livestock drink.

Comes a time that the insecurity or rejection has no hold of me anymore.

His promises are wrapped up in obedience.

Gods grace is carrying me.

So take me higher!

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
