Golden Hour

Look up for a moment.

Just take a moment.

What is it you see?

The edge of the sun glimmering upon the water. Movement upon the water the shape, the silhouette, the glimmer of light shining upon the edge of darkness

For it is golden hour.

The atmosphere bathed in the light of the sun.

It is the time of shock and awe. The time where people are going about their business but then lookup with awe.

It is the pull, the attraction, the drawing.

The time where those in the know prepare for the moment, to capture the full beauty of the moment.

Isaiah 62:10-12 Go out through the gates! Prepare the highway for my people to return! Smooth out the road; pull out the boulders; raise a flag for all the nations to see. The Lord has sent this message to every land: “Tell the people of Israel, ‘Look, your Savior is coming. See, he brings his reward with him as he comes.’ ” They will be called “The Holy People” and “The People Redeemed by the Lord.” And Jerusalem will be known as “The Desirable Place” and “The City No Longer Forsaken.”

You have received the milk, now it is time for the honey.

It is golden, it flows, but it sticks. For by it you shall have traction.

Experience it, enjoy it, for it shall not fade.

This is the time to shine.

Everything looks good in the golden hour.

My light covers the darkness, restores the broken, beautifies and enhances.

I’m adding the polish, I’m providing the means to attract.

That which was ignored before, shall come to the fore.

The abandoned ruin, shall now draw the eye.

The broken, the beautiful, the run down, the ruin, the exhausted, the weary shall all experience my glory.

It’s my make over program.

Everything is about to look different.

Better, stronger, faster, more seamless, faster flowing, smooth not rough. Attractive to all, drawn in by many.

You stress about how it appears, you wonder how it will all come together, you look with disappointment at the broken pieces, wondering how they will become whole.

Does the sun rise at your command?

Is there anyway you can contribute to this process?

What value can you add to it?

Is my hand shortened, that it cannot reach, that it cannot impact, that it cannot restore?

Is anything too hard for me?

You act like everything depends on you, and yet what is it you have that I did not provide?

Can anyone provide the formula for attraction? What causes one to be drawn to another?

Am I not the author of love, am I not the source, am I not the one who makes everything magical.

It is beyond your comprehension that your beloved loves you. You are unable to provide a meaningful analysis of it. You struggle to love yourself and yet her love remains constant.

Why is the hour golden? The science can explain the mechanics but cannot provide a reason.

For it is the time of romance, the time of the drawing, the time to enjoy the circumstance, the time to breathe, the time to celebrate.

The time to lay down the burden, the time to put aside your fear, the time to take off the coat of weakness, the coat of weariness and put on the robe of joy, the robe of peace, the robe of praise.

Isaiah 61:3-4 To grant consolation and joy to those who mourn in Zion—to give them an ornament (a garland or diadem) of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the garment expressive of praise instead of a heavy, burdened, and failing spirit—that they may be called oaks of righteousness lofty, strong, and magnificent, distinguished for uprightness, justice, and right standing with God, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified. And they shall rebuild the ancient ruins; they shall raise up the former desolations and renew the ruined cities, the devastations of many generations. Nehemiah 5:12-13 Then they said, We will restore these and require nothing from them. We will do as you say. Then I called the priests and took an oath of the lenders that they would do according to this promise. I shook out my garment and said, So may God shake out every man from his house and from the exercise and fruits of his labor who does not keep this promise! So may he be shaken out and emptied. And all the assembly said, Amen, and praised the Lord. And the people did according to this promise.

Rejoice for the time of testing has come to an end, the time of celebration is here.

Embrace joy, embrace peace, get a hold of it, possess it, inhabit it, rest in it.

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
