Glorious

For it shall be glorious

For my glory

For my glory rises upon you.

For I shall glory in you.

For there is no pressure to perform.

But there shall be a glorious performance.

For I watch over my word to perform it.

Let’s assemble the cast, the casting, the cast downs, the cast outs, the down casts.

For I deliver my breakthroughs, through the broken.

For I revel not in the performance of man.

I reveal myself in the performance of the word and those willing to take part in my play.

You just heard an in-depth story of the performance of man.

What is the point? For the point is meaningless and without meaning.

“I have done this, I am multiplying the talent that God has given me”

“What is your plan? To grow and sell the business?”

As if growth and abundance and wealth is everyone’s plan! It was never mine! What is the goal? What is the point of accumulating wealth? Where was God in all this made man stuff. It surely is vanity, it has no bearing… Yet it grates on my soul. It irritates me to the core. Yet another glorying in what their work and plans have accomplished. For my work, my food is to do the will of the one who sent me…

For a time is coming and is here now, where my glory will be revealed.

For it shall be a revelation to many.

“Eye opening” is the word.

For I shall open their eyes and they shall know and recognise my hand upon it.

For you hear the sound of spontaneous applause.

For it is the sound of heaven, celebrating my glory revealed upon you.

For you care not for the performance and yet you look for the word.

You look for my word, speak my word, agree with my word, prophesy my word.

For the response shall be… “my word”

The word of astonishment, the dropping of the jaw, the moment without speech!

For I am just getting started.

They share the man made story, well I have been working on the screenplay of your life and there is only one word to describe it!

“Glorious!”

Without explanation, beyond explanation, without a word, yet they shall know and understand and feel the word. For I am revealing the fullness of my word.

For I am rending the veil of confusion.

I am revealing the full purpose of my plan.

You know how everyone gets excited about a particular person coming to town?

They prepare themselves, they present themselves only in the hope of getting a glimpse of the celebrity!

You rail against the cult of celebrity. You get yourself worked up against the pride of man. For they celebrate their talents and skills and successes, all their grand accomplishments.

Yet for you this is vanity, much vanity, the celebration of skill, luck, opportunity, effort, striving. The presentation of the wonder, whilst hiding the loss, the lack, the pain, the celebration of much, hiding the void, the loss, the pain.

What is the point? I asked myself. It was like we lived two parallel lives, similar opportunities. And yet for him abundance, for me a robbing of that which I had offered. Yet the more he talked about all that he gained, I just felt an increasing sadness. It was like he was keen to perform and present the story well. Yet the more he talked about the gain, the more I felt the loss. For all he had gained, he had lost that which mattered most. For all I had lost, I had gained that which mattered most, the love of God, and the manifest love of the one I love the most, the love of my beloved. For a moment I sat there tempted to compare and rate my performance, and yet I have no desire for it. For I know the one who has promised to perform. I rest upon you word. Jeremiah 1:4-12 Then the word of the Lord came to me Jeremiah, saying, Before I formed you in the womb I knew and approved of you as My chosen instrument, and before you were born I separated and set you apart, consecrating you; and I appointed you as a prophet to the nations. Then said I, Ah, Lord God! Behold, I cannot speak, for I am only a youth. But the Lord said to me, Say not, I am only a youth; for you shall go to all to whom I shall send you, and whatever I command you, you shall speak. Be not afraid of them their faces, for I am with you to deliver you, says the Lord. Then the Lord put forth His hand and touched my mouth. And the Lord said to me, Behold, I have put My words in your mouth. See, I have this day appointed you to the oversight of the nations and of the kingdoms to root out and pull down, to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant. Moreover, the word of the Lord came to me, saying, Jeremiah, what do you see? And I said, I see a branch or shoot of an almond tree the emblem of alertness and activity, blossoming in late winter. Then said the Lord to me, You have seen well, for I am alert and active, watching over My word to perform it. Thankyou Lord that you are the architect of all that our live’s are built upon. Thankyou Lord that you are the author of our screenplay, your word is the foundation for the script. For you have once again put your words in our mouths. We look forward to the full revelation of your glory.

Yet I am celebrating you, join with me in the celebration. I am so excited at what is to come!

Come, come away with me, it is time to celebrate!

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
