Giant Leap

You will experience my run off, if you don’t run off.

For the stream flows from above to that which is beneath.

First the drop, then another and another.

For it impacts the ground, it falls upon the ground, it causes the ground to move.

That which is solid moves by that which is fluid. That which is immovable now moves.

For the one drop, covers the whole ground, for this land flows.

For it flows from the heights to the depths as I have commanded.

For it runs, first a step, then a walk, then a run.

For it falls at your feet, it shall not be contained, it has momentum.

In this moment, in a moment, it has momentum.

What was still, now has movement.

What was dormant, now grows, for this is the season of growth. Repeat after me “my haven’t you grown”

For the small pace, that struggles to keep up, shall grow and become the giant step, that covers the whole land.

For the same movement shall cover more ground, shall bring forth my advance.

For the runner shall outpace the horse.

For there shall be no need to side step, to work around, to walk around, to go around, to mess around, for that which stands before shall be diminished, shall easily be overcome.

One moment like the toddler tripping over the model car, the next the giant stepping over the wall.

That which you struggled to climb over, you shall now step over. That which loomed large before your eyes like a giant, shall now be like the insect, the ant.

For that which opposes you shall be as the grasshopper.

For you shall look down upon your giant, and wonder at the size of it.

Say again “my haven’t you grown”

That which caused alarm, shall now be called insignificant.

For that which you looked up to, you shall now gaze upon from afar, stoop down to get a closer look.

For I have raised you up, I have lifted you up.

That which you pondered how you straddle the gap, shall no longer even require a thought.

Does the giant ponder how he will step over the puddle?

Does the ant cause the elephant to recoil in fear?

What the small considers a great expanse, the giant considers a thimble.

You shall struggle to hold on to that which is small, for I am enlarging your hand.

When I said be expansive, did you not think I would expand you?

Does the adult crawl upon the ground like a baby?

Does the athlete use a walking stick?

Does he who is strong, struggle with that which is weak? For the mighty log breaks like a twig in his fingers.

For this is what the other side looks like. The land of grasshoppers, being possessed by the giants. What is the point of the giant fruit, if your mouth is too small to eat it?

For I say be expanded, don’t try to expand, just be expanded.

Don’t try to be strong, just receive my word “be strong”. Let the weak say I am strong. I give you permission to be strong. I authorise you to be strong. I command you “be strong”. No need to act like one who is strong. No need to pretend.

Numbers 13:30-33 Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once and possess it; we are well able to conquer it. But his fellow scouts said, We are not able to go up against the people of Canaan, for they are stronger than we are. So they brought the Israelites an evil report of the land which they had scouted out, saying, The land through which we went to spy it out is a land that devours its inhabitants. And all the people that we saw in it are men of great stature. There we saw the Nephilim or giants, the sons of Anak, who come from the giants; and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.

Be like the one driving the “sleeper” the one who has the most horsepower that has to keep the revs down, so as not to shake the earth! Heck, yes heck!

I have given the enemy a head start, he sits there smiling as he approaches the end of the race, the finish line..

There you are back at the start, with this huge smile on your face, for you know he has already lost.

You think to yourself, “have I given him a chance, have I been fair”, yet you know he has no chance of winning. “Shall we go?”, I say.

Let’s go, in a roar of thunder, the ground shakes as you advance. Off in the distance you see him tremble, for he is about to have an “off road” experience. He struggles to get a grip, the elation turns to fear, then to shock and awe. For his vehicle is not fit for purpose, the wheels are about to fall off, his movement to come to a grinding halt.

For this road was designed for my chosen, purpose built for my purpose.

For the time is coming and is here now, where you will wake from your dream, only to feel like you are still dreaming. For your circumstance, your habitation, your life, your impact will beyond your dreams. For I am only just getting started.

You think this is surely the pinnacle of my goodness, you think that you should celebrate this one off, fleeting moment of glory.

Remember my promise. Did I not say I would start to build on the pinnacle of your effort, the foundation of what you have built at my command?

Remember the forerunner, remember the foretaste of things to come. This is just an appetiser, look out for the main course.

Be not like the child crying over the toy that was lost, or broken.

Open your eyes and see, and behold, and burst forth with joy at who stands before you, who loves you beyond your wildest dreams. For there is no need to be upset, there is no lack, this is new for old replacement, the toy no more, the dream fulfilled.

Come let’s go for a walk, for this is no dream, open your eyes and see and gaze in wonder. For that which overwhelmed you up close, is now smaller than your hand off in the distance.

For this is the season of my favour, expect favours, expect all things to turn out for the best. Expect a favourable outcome, expect momentum, expect growth, anticipate growth.

Can the child do anything to extend their leg? Is not growth my doing? Do I not determine what will grow and how far and wide?

For it is in your DNA to grow.

For you shall stand out in the crowd. There will be no point in ducking down as you shall be head and shoulders above the crowd. When you sit you shall still be above them who stand before you.

2 Peter 1:2-5 May grace (God’s favor) and peace (which isperfect well-being, all necessary good, all spiritual prosperity, andfreedom from fears and agitating passions and moral conflicts) be multiplied to you in the full, personal, precise, and correct knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. For His divine power has bestowed upon us all things that are requisite and suited to life and godliness, through the full, personal knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellence (virtue). By means of these He has bestowed on us His precious and exceedingly great promises, so that through them you may escape by flight from the moral decay (rottenness and corruption) that is in the world because of covetousness (lust and greed), and become sharers (partakers) of the divine nature. For this very reason, adding your diligence to the divine promises, employ every effort inexercising your faith to develop virtue (excellence, resolution, Christian energy), and in exercising virtue develop knowledge (intelligence),

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
