Get Your Hopes Up!

Tell your hope to get up.

For you have laid your hopes down.

Pickup your hope.

Place your hand upon your hope and lift it up.

Take hold of your hope and lift it up.

Have regard for your hope, look again upon your hope.

What is it you see?

I feel peace, I receive peace, I can say ahhhh!

Look again what is it you see?

I see the joy, I feel the joy, I am refreshed by joy, I am embraced again with great joy. For I am the beloved, I am the chosen one, I am her hearts desire. Oh how I love to go for a walk upon the shore…

Don’t look back, look forward, for your hope lies ahead of you, not behind you.

When you look upon my face, what do you expect to see?

Frustration, disappointment, pain, aggravation, distain, distance, arms crossed, patient endurance until heaven comes….

Look again, look up, look up again, as your beloved said to you look up, for it was not a dream that an angel visited you this morning!

Is it not such a joy to behold her face!

It was for a fleeting moment, a moment of great delight, I did not want it to end!

Now look again upon my face what is it you see?

The look of great love, of passion, of desire, of radiant glory, beaming with delight, the look of hope, the look of excitement, the brightest of smiles.

Now just reflect on this moment….

How is it you see me this way?

For this is not a war story, this is a love story!

This is not a story of overcoming great conflict and then you live happily ever after with the girl of your dreams.

This is a story of great love, an outpouring of such great love, a love story for the ages. For the enemy can’t stand how much I love you!

Literally he can not stand in the presence of such love!

For I have placed my hand in yours, I have placed her hand in yours.

Is that not the greatest thing, a wonderful thing, a blessed thing, an amazing thing, the best thing, a union of great joy.

You are looking for great hope, and in the journey you have lost joy!

I am sending out a search party for joy, I am looking for joy, have you seen joy?

Whenever she smiles at me, it is a moment of glory, it is a glimpse of such great joy. How could it be that someone so majestic, so beautiful could love me?

Yet I have placed within you great joy, abundant joy, overflowing joy.

Isaiah 30:18 And therefore the Lord earnestly waits expecting, looking, and longing to be gracious to you; and therefore He lifts Himself up, that He may have mercy on you and show loving-kindness to you. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are all those who earnestly wait for Him, who expect and look and long for Him for His victory, His favor, His love, His peace, His joy, and His matchless, unbroken companionship!

You go looking without for joy, you look without for joy, but I have placed joy within you.

You go looking for joy, but I have taken up habitation within you, in am present within you, my joy shall be complete in you.

It was but a moment of turning, a moment of wrestling, a great conflict.

You went out with my word “a bundle of joy” you came home rejected, unloved, sidelined, unwrapt, exposed, vulnerable to great pain.

Yet this was not my intent, for I intend for you to overcome evil with great joy!

Joy is my favourite weapon, my delight is in you, my joy is within you, be radiant with joy!

For just like it was when you felt the touch of your beloved, feel my touch, feel my love.

For set your hope in this….

You are favoured, you are loved, you are my delight, you are my passion, I can’t take my eyes off you, you are my beloved.

Shine with the radiance of my love, just as you love to speak of your great love, and all celebrate with you, even strangers smile when you tell of your great love for your beloved.

Be lifted up, say to your soul be lifted up….

Say to your joy be lifted up, say to yourself get your hopes up.

For what is to come is so much more that what was before.

If we started this story with a great love, how shall it end?

For the latter days will far exceed the former days.

Job 42:11-12 Then there came to him all his brothers and sisters and all who had known him before, and they ate bread with him in his house; and they sympathized with him and comforted him over all the distressing calamities that the Lord had brought upon him. Every man also gave him a piece of money, and every man an earring of gold. And the Lord blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning; for he had 14,000 sheep, 6,000 camels, 1,000 yoke of oxen, and 1,000 female donkeys.

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
