Freedom
A defining moment, a moment of definition.
You say to yourself, you speak to yourself, you instruct yourself “I am not yet who I want to be.”
You question yourself, you ask yourself, but you are at a loss for an answer.
For I am the answer.
A moment of hesitation, a moment of questioning.
For you ask the question of yourself, but the answer is beyond you.
You can’t be in two minds on this, be of one mind, be of one accord with yourself.
I feel the restraint, I feel the chains, I feel the boundaries, the protocols, the restrictions. There is the moment you show up, for you always so up, and then there is the awakening, from the dream to the reality.
“In you I find my hope, in you I trust, I place my life in your hands alone, be still and know…”
I am torn between how you see it, and then being confronted with what is before. You ask me to go with your flow, and then place me in the context of an imposed formula. My hand shakes now, as though pushing against the natural to bring forth your supernatural. I just can’t respond to the cues of man anymore, it is like standing in quicksand, in a moment, in an instant I am drained. I feel the loss, the drain, the pain. I feel restrained on all sides, struggling to move my little finger, when you have given me the power of Samson!
Yet was not Samson bound to be free?
Yes he was only bound, so that he could bring forth freedom.
Was he not surrounded by those who were held captive?
Did they not remind him, “Don’t you realise the Philistines rule over us?”
How does the captive know what freedom looks like, unless it is demonstrated to them?
So what is your choice?
Will you choose to be captive, or will you be captivated by me?
For where my spirit is there is freedom, freedom is present, freedom is here, where I am freedom just shows up.
You know this to be true..
Judges 15:14 And when he came to Lehi, the Philistines came shouting to meet him. And the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon Samson, and the ropes on his arms became as flax that had caught fire, and his bonds melted off his hands.
Does not my spirit come mightily upon you?
Abandon all restraint, discard all restraint, lay off all restraint, be without restraint.
Abandon all inhibitions, all that inhibits, all that confines, all that restricts.
“You break my chains, you overcome”
For I have given you the power to overcome.
Through you I have chosen to demonstrate my power.
Did Samson wait for permission to act?
At the moment he was bound, at the instant he was bound, was the instant he was freedom.
You wanted to write, he was free, but you heard correctly, he was freedom.
Now you know what you are fighting for….
For you are freedom.
Show them how to be free.
Show them what freedom looks like.
Tell them what freedom looks like.
Matthew 11:12 And from the days of John the Baptist until the present time, the kingdom of heaven has endured violent assault, and violent men seize it by force as a precious prize—a share in the heavenly kingdom is sought with most ardent zeal and intense exertion.
You want it to look pretty, to be subtle, to not make a scene. Yet Samson did not have a nice conversation with them, or have words with them.
Heaps upon heaps, a slaughterhouse, yes a slaughterhouse, a complete massacre, a wipeout, a bloody mess, yes a bloody mess.
Not a pretty sight, yet an object lesson in how I deal with those who oppose me.
I want you to wreak havoc on the plans of the enemy.
It is time to shake things up.
You know what I mean!
Really shake things up, visibly shake things up.
For you shall give the enemy pause to consider, a great moment of pause.
For I have turned the tide, I have broken the chains.
For nothing shall be able to bind you.
I have eroded the wall of opposition.
Behold, yes behold, all that stands in your way is eroded.
My fire and my wind blows against it.
Yet now comes the flow.
I have broken it and it can no longer stand.
My flow is here.
My fullness is here.
My capacity is here.
Get immersed in it. Jump in and be refreshed.
A parting of the ways, the way of the parting, for I am making a new way, a way is made as you walk in the way.
Joshua 3:13-17 When the soles of the feet of the priests who bear the ark of the Lord of all the earth shall rest in the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan coming down from above shall be cut off and they shall stand in one heap. So when the people set out from their tents to pass over the Jordan, with the priests bearing the ark of the covenant before the people, And when those who bore the ark had come to the Jordan and the feet of the priests bearing the ark were in the brink of the water—for the Jordan overflows all its banks throughout the time of harvest— Then the waters which came down from above stood and rose up in a heap far off, at Adam, the city that is beside Zarethan; and those flowing down toward the Sea of the Arabah, the Salt Dead Sea, were wholly cut off. And the people passed over opposite Jericho. And while all Israel passed over on dry ground, the priests who bore the ark of the covenant of the Lord stood firm on dry ground in the midst of the Jordan, until all the nation finished passing over the Jordan.
