Exposure
I feel so exposed, thrust out into the open…
Yet it is I that have exposed you…
For I have chosen to reveal you.
For you shall be my revelation.
For you are so vulnerable to my love.
For it is right and proper to reveal yourself to the one you love.
For how can one be intimate without exposure.
For I have exposed you to the elements.
Naked but not ashamed, that’s how I intended it to be.
For intimacy comes from vulnerability.
For when exposed, love overflows.
Exposure reveals, exposure is a revelation.
Exposure rejects rejection, reveals desire, attracts desire.
To expose is to develop, to reveal highlights, to highlight contrast.
To expose is to reveal an image, my image, the reflection of my image.
For love desires to reveal, it bursts forth with excitement that cannot be contained, that spills out all over the place.
Was it not breathtaking?
For I took your breath away, for I have taken your breath away.
Your mouth opened, time stopped, in an instant, in a moment, she was exposed.
An image of her is indelibly imprinted upon you.
For in a moment I revealed my intent, my love, my beloved.
In a moment you knew that everything was going to be different now.
For it was a life changing moment.
Do you not see?
Do you not understand?
Do you see it now, the value of exposure?
For you want to hide yourself, to remain in confinement, in isolation, to refrain from exposing yourself.
Yet I have called you out.
Come out, come out, wherever you are!
Song of Songs 2:10-14 My lover has arrived and he’s speaking to me! Get up, my dear friend, fair and beautiful lover—come to me! Look around you: Winter is over; the winter rains are over, gone! Spring flowers are in blossom all over. The whole world’s a choir—and singing! Spring warblers are filling the forest with sweet arpeggios. Lilacs are exuberantly purple and perfumed, and cherry trees fragrant with blossoms. Oh, get up, dear friend, my fair and beautiful lover—come to me! Come, my shy and modest dove— leave your seclusion, come out in the open. Let me see your face, let me hear your voice. For your voice is soothing and your face is ravishing.
Come out of seclusion, let me hear your voice, let me see your face, for your face is ravishing and your voice is soothing.
Come out my shy and modest dove.
For my love speaks to you.
Yes my love speaks to you.
For it is easy to exposure yourself when you feel so loved.
Is it not such great joy, for peace bursts forth in your midst, surely it is a visit from heaven!
For in the place of fear, my love bursts forth!
For you need not be afraid.
For it was my love, who taught you how to love and to be loved.
For my love teaches you, attends to you, caresses you.
In her arms, is this not heaven on earth?
Perfect love casts out all fear!
1 John 4:17-19 In this union and communion with Him love is brought to completion and attains perfection with us, that we may have confidence for the day of judgment with assurance and boldness to face Him, because as He is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love dread does not exist, but full-grown (complete, perfect) loveturns fear out of doors and expels every trace of terror! For fearbrings with it the thought of punishment, and so he who is afraid has not reached the full maturity of love is not yet grown into love’s complete perfection. We love Him, because He first loved us.
Just receive my love, for my love is the antidote for the poison of fear.
Drink deeply from my fountain of love, for my love pours out upon you, I want you to be saturated in it.
For my love pools at your feet.
For I have spoken, and will speak of my love for you forever.
Just like you love to speak of your beloved to the crowd, to all those who will listen, I love to speak of you.
I cannot keep quiet about it, I must shout it from the rooftops.
Like the celebrity, inviting the one he loves on stage, I invite you to stand with me, to sing with me, to be with me.
For he saw what was special about her, he was compelled by love, propelled by love, consumed by love, he wanted to share her gift with the world.
You are no different, perfectly crafted, hand made, made by my hand, an object of my love and affection, supremely gifted, a gift to so many.
So take my hand, won’t you take my hand, just like you love to take the hand of your beloved, let’s go for a walk together.
Let’s show the world our love, look out for great displays of public affection, just like you love to kiss your wife in public, look out for great displays of my affection in public places.
