Exposure

Exposure

Limited options.

For you consider that your options are limited.

You consider only the limit.

One option is to limit.

Limited thinking.

Limited exposure.

Limited choice.

The choice of the one, but not the other.

You want to say “there was no other option”, but you limited your own choices.

You operate with confinement.

You want to place yourself in a box and throw away the key.

You want to cover yourself in darkness, and remain hidden by the darkness.

For there is comfort in the place of limited exposure.

You want to place your hands in the cuffs, to bind yourself to that which is of no consequence.

Yet I have called you to expose yourself.

Come out of the darkroom and be exposed.

For my glory shines on you, illuminates you, exposes you, reveals me.

For I am breaking the shell.

For I am breaking through the shell of a man, to reveal the chosen one, the one I have chosen.

For you have been walking around in this cocoon, like a mummy bound up.

Why do you think that when you come into my presence your body starts to shake?

For I came to break that which confines you.

You want to be under the cover of darkness.

You want to remain hidden, yet my light shines upon you, within you.

Be as one who glows.

For they shall all say “you are glowing”

For you cannot stay away from me.

I know how much you love my presence.

For I have called your name.

I have called you out.

For your name has been called.

I have put your name upon my lips.

Can the word that comes from my mouth return to me empty?

Try as you might to remain hidden, your name has been announced across the land, proclaimed across the land, echos across the land.

You saw it yourself on your clients paperwork – not needs “business name”, but needs “your name”.

For I have need of you.

The king has need of you.

I say again THE KING HAS NEED OF YOU!

You know the words.

You remember the context.

You know straight away what I am talking about.

Dropped at birth.

Lame and unable to walk.

Withdrawn into self exile in the place of Lo Debar, the place of no communication.

You know what I am talking about.

You know what you don’t want to talk about.

You brushed it aside but you knew it was me speaking.

From the unknown one, the smiling one, the joyful one, the one who introduced herself as a “speaker”. You even smiled when she made this comment. Yet you brushed aside what she said to you. Yet you knew it was my question!

Do you think the Lord has called you to speak?!

You fobbed her off, you dismissed her comment, and directed the conversation away.

Yet I am bringing you back to this point.

For I have chosen your lips to be as mine.

Jeremiah 1:6-9 Then said I, Ah, Lord God! Behold, I cannot speak, for I am only a youth. But the Lord said to me, Say not, I am only a youth; for you shall go to all to whom I shall send you, and whatever I command you, you shall speak. Be not afraid of them [their faces], for I am with you to deliver you, says the Lord. Then the Lord put forth His hand and touched my mouth. And the Lord said to me, Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.

Come out, come out wherever you are!

Respond to my voice and they will respond to your voice.

Jeremiah 33:10-11 Thus says the Lord: Yet again there shall be heard in this place of which you say, It is a desolate waste, without man and without beast—even in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem that are desolate, without man and without inhabitant and without beast— [There shall be heard again] the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voices of those who sing as they bring sacrifices of thanksgiving into the house of the Lord, Give praise and thanks to the Lord of hosts, for the Lord is good; for His mercy and kindness and steadfast love endure forever! For I will cause the captivity of the land to be reversed and return to be as it was at first, says the Lord.

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
