To the power of….

Why do you keep pointing out to me…

Your weakness?

Your lack?

Your brokenness?

Your minority?

“I am only one?”

“There are only two of us?”

Is my capacity to accomplish limited by your capacity?

For I have done much with the one.

With Samson, one vs a thousand was trivial opposition to me.

For Gideon had the same odds.

Yet you are not alone!

Two….. to the power of.

I love the two.

One vs the multiplied opposition is no contest.

But two brings forth multiples.

Two united overwhelms the land.

Have I not come to restore?

Have I not come to bring together?

You two are awesome together.

Seriously read that again!

When you come together the enemy cries out in fear. Struck by the awe.

Strike them with awe.

Why join with those who tremble?

Receive not a spirit of fear.

Who made you afraid?

What is it you fear?

For Samson in the midst of battle, did not cry out in fear.

With both hands tied behind his back, in my strength he ruled over that which opposed him.

When surrounded He was not overcome.

When he cried out. He did NOT say…

“Help I bleed.”

“Help I’m hurt.”

For He was not hurt.

He cried out for water, and I gave him water from the hollow place.

For the place of lack shall burst forth.

Do you not see, have you not heard?

My strength is made perfect in your weakness.

My strength thrives in the hollow place, in the limited place, in the place of strength.

For I have given you strength that no hostile power can overcome.

Jeremiah 1:18-19 For I, behold, I have made you this day a fortified city and an iron pillar and bronze walls against the whole land—against the successive kings of Judah, against its princes, against its priests, and against the people of the land giving you divine strength which no hostile power can overcome. And they shall fight against you, but they shall not finally prevail against you, for I am with you, says the Lord, to deliver you.

You feel wounded, yet you are strong!

You feel wounded you feel the pain.

Yet my hand is upon your wounds.

Am I not equipped to restore?

I understand you’re hypersensitive to touch.

I desire not to agitate but to restore, not to irritate but to calm.

You feel pain, but I feel tenderness.

I know it has been a long time since you felt tenderness.

Fear not for my hand is upon you.

1 Chronicles 4:9-10 Jabez was honorable above his brothers; but his mother named him Jabez sorrow maker, saying, Because I bore him in pain. Jabez cried to the God of Israel, saying, Oh, that You would bless me and enlarge my border, and that Your hand might be with me, and You would keep me from evil so it might not hurt me! And God granted his request.

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
