Enter my rest and close the door

Enter into my rest and close the door!

Step in to it. Feel it. Get comfortable. Elevate your feet. Sit on your throne. Next to mine. Take my authority. Rest in my power.

Settle in. Be settled. Remain in this place.

Experience my fullness in the place of lack.

Acts 2:25-28 For David says in regard to Him, I saw the Lord constantly before me, for He is at my right hand that I may not be shaken or overthrown or cast down [from my secure and happy state]. Therefore my heart rejoiced and my tongue exulted exceedingly; moreover, my flesh also will dwell in hope [will encamp, pitch its tent, and dwell in hope in anticipation of the resurrection]. For You will not abandon my soul, leaving it helpless in Hades (the state of departed spirits), nor let Your Holy One know decay or see destruction [of the body after death]. You have made known to me the ways of life; You will enrapture me [diffusing my soul with joy] with and in Your presence.

Live in the place of overflow. Inhabit it. It is your place. Why come and go? Dwell here. Occupy it! You are the occupant! Reside here.

Stay with me. Live with me. Move in! Dwell for this is your dwelling. This is your place.

Have a marshmallow. Stay by the fire. Care not for the flapping of the tent. For it is just the flapping of the enemy trying to get you in a flap!

Be consumed by the fire, warmed by it, refreshed by it. Possess the heat of it. Glow with it, radiate it, fan the flame.

When peace like a river attendeth my way and sorrow like sea billows roar. Whatever my lot thou hast taught me to say it is well, it is well with my soul.

Peace attend to my way. Like a river I bathe in it, I immerse myself it it. The refreshing waves wash over me, soothing the aches of my soul.

Stay in the place of promise until the wilderness becomes a lush pasture. Stop walking around in the desert looking for water, for I will sustain you!

40 days , I was tempted but then the Angels came to minister.

Mark 1:13 And He[Jesus] stayed in the wilderness (desert) forty days, being tempted [all the while] by Satan; and He was with the wild beasts, and the angels ministered to Him [continually]. Exodus 34:28 Moses was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights; he ate no bread and drank no water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant… Numbers 13:23-27 And they came to the Valley of Eshcol, and cut down from there a branch with one cluster of grapes, and they carried it on a pole between two [of them]; they brought also some pomegranates and figs. That place was called the Valley of Eshcol [cluster] because of the cluster which the Israelites cut down there. And they returned from scouting out the land after forty days. They came to Moses and Aaron and to all the Israelite congregation in the Wilderness of Paran at Kadesh, and brought them word, and showed them the land’s fruit. They told Moses, We came to the land to which you sent us; surely it flows with milk and honey. This is its fruit. Deuteronomy 10:10-11 And I [Moses] stayed on the mountain, as the first time, forty days and nights, and the Lord listened to me at that time also; the Lord would not destroy you. And the Lord said to me, Arise, journey on before the people, that they may go in and possess the land which I swore to their fathers to give to them. 1 Kings 19:8 So he[Elijah] arose and ate and drank, and went in the strength of that food forty days and nights to Horeb, the mount of God. Jonah 3:4 And Jonah began to enter into the city a day’s journey, and he cried, Yet forty days and Nineveh shall be overthrown! Acts 1:3-4 To them also He showed Himself alive after His passion (His suffering in the garden and on the cross) by [a series of] many convincing demonstrations [unquestionable evidences and infallible proofs], appearing to them during forty days and talking [to them] about the things of the kingdom of God. And while being in their company and eating with them, He commanded them not to leave Jerusalem but to wait for what the Father had promised, Of which [He said] you have heard Me speak.

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
