Dessert is Served

Dessert is Served

Swirling underground. Moving underground. It’s underground. Moving under the surface. Behind the curtain. Behind the scenes. Prepared underneath.

Preparing mousse. Chocolate mousse. With a swirl. A light swirl. A swirl of light. Smooth. With a swirl. Flowing under the surface. Calm on top. Moving underneath. I’m stirring it up underneath. Mixing it up. Blending the ingredients. Making it sweet. Making it sweet. Building sweetness. It shall be a sweet. Dessert in the desert. The final course. The sweetest taste. The right flavour. The right texture. The right pattern. The right look. Not too soft. Not too hard. The right blend. Blended with the sour. It tastes just right. Raspberries are my favourite.

Designed with no surface. Easy to penetrate. No barrier to entry. Easy to mix. Fluid, but has substance. Flows but can be contained. Can be stirred but is solid.

It is a giant treat. A giant batch. A huge container. Surfing on the spoon, as it parts the way. Mixes the blend. Just the right blend. Ready to be poured out. I pour it out. Present the container, the bowl. Many containers. Line up. I say line up. It is a line up. Invite them to come. Say “dessert is ready”. You are going to love this. I’ve made your favourite dish. Present your dish. Get ready to be filled.

Say “come and be filled”. There is plenty to be served. You can come back for more. Have what you need but come back for more. You shall not lack. Receive my overflow.

2 Kings 4:1-7 NOW THE wife of a son of the prophets cried to Elisha, Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the Lord. But the creditor has come to take my two sons to be his slaves. Elisha said to her, What shall I do for you? Tell me, what have you [of sale value] in the house? She said, Your handmaid has nothing in the house except a jar of oil. Then he said, Go around and borrow vessels from all your neighbors, empty vessels—and not a few. And when you come in, shut the door upon you and your sons. Then pour out [the oil you have] into all those vessels, setting aside each one when it is full. So she went from him and shut the door upon herself and her sons, who brought to her the vessels as she poured the oil. When the vessels were all full, she said to her son, Bring me another vessel. And he said to her, There is not a one left. Then the oil stopped multiplying. Then she came and told the man of God. He said, Go, sell the oil and pay your debt, and you and your sons live on the rest.

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
