Dedicated to

Dedicated to…

Consecrate. Concentrate. Denigrate no, dedicate.

This performance is dedicated to…..

This dream is dedicated to….

This path is dedicated to….. The dedicated.

I dedicate this moment to. This outcome is dedicated to?

Luke 11:41 But [dedicate your inner self and] give as donations to the poor of those things which are within [of inward righteousness] and behold, everything is purified and clean for you.

The highlights are dedicated to.

Lift the lights high. Elevate the light, to experience the high.

Come up higher. Do not go down. Look up. Get a grip man.

To be dedicated requires a firm grip, an unrelenting grip, a fire than cannot be put out. It rises from within. It refuses to be down. Even the sparks fly upward, seeking a higher place.

Job 5:6-11 For affliction comes not forth from the dust, neither does trouble spring forth out of the ground. But man is born to trouble as the sparks and the flames fly upward. As for me, I would seek God and inquire of and require Him, and to God would I commit my cause— Who does great things and unsearchable, marvelous things without number, Who gives rain upon the earth and sends waters upon the fields, So that He sets on high those who are lowly, and those who mourn He lifts to safety.

Seek a higher place. Refuse to come down. Be lifted up. Take the high ground. It is yours. It is the place I occupy.

Lie in the fire, take heat and warmth and light from it. Enjoy the flame. Stir it up. Fan the flame. Watch it burn. Burning but not burnt. In the sun but not burnt.

Burn for me. Be hot for me. Be in hot pursuit.

You touch the burning embers but do not feel the warmth.

Turn up the temperature. Turn up the heat.

Feel the warmth of my embrace.

My death was dedicated to your life.

Dip your hand in the refreshing pool and feel my peace.

Ephesians 2:21-22 In Him the whole structure is joined (bound, welded) together harmoniously, and it continues to rise (grow, increase) into a holy temple in the Lord [a sanctuary dedicated, consecrated, and sacred to the presence of the Lord]. In Him [and in fellowship with one another] you yourselves also are being built up [into this structure] with the rest, to form a fixed abode (dwelling place) of God in (by, through) the Spirit.

Hopelessly devoted to you.

Be not devoted to hopelessness, be devoted to hope, not the less but the hope. Be filled with hope, receive hope. Contain hope. Overflow with hope.

Romans 15:13 May the God of your hope so fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound and be overflowing (bubbling over) with hope.

The tree rises up from the water, the watery tree, the fountain tree. The Christmas tree of the flow. Splashed with sprays of water, sprinkles of drops, like decorations on the flowing branches.

Isaiah 32:20 Happy and fortunate are you who cast your seed upon all waters [when the river overflows its banks; for the seed will sink into the mud and when the waters subside, the plant will spring up; you will find it after many days and reap an abundant harvest], you who safely send forth the ox and the donkey [to range freely].

It is the seed rising up from the mud. It is the fountain of hope, the flowing foundation of life. The tree of hope.

Psalms 42:7 [Roaring] deep calls to [roaring] deep at the thunder of Your waterspouts; all Your breakers and Your rolling waves have gone over me.

The waves draw back only to, draw strength to then push forward to extend their reach, their boundary, their border.

Psalms 42:8 Yet the Lord will command His loving-kindness in the daytime, and in the night His song shall be with me, a prayer to the God of my life.

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
