Cross the Line

Cross the Line

Advance.

Push forward as I push back.

Walk towards that which opposes you.

For you are indeed on the brink, on the edge, on the point, on point.

At the point of breaking, at the point of break through.

You say “I am through with brokenness” and I agree.

For the raging torrent is no impediment to me.

Step into that which rages against you, for you shall cross the line.

The enemy declares to you and says “you have crossed the line”

Stop arguing with him and agree, for indeed you have crossed the line.

Don’t get cross about the line, just cross it.

Draw a line through that which you don’t agree with.

Just draw a line, and then cross it.

Why does it freak you out that ALL THAT I HAVE PROMISED IS HAPPENING!

Even your enemy says “Make it Happen”, and yet has no clue what is actually happening.

For you know, you feel it, you see it, now you only need to agree with it.

Have I not commanded this blessing!

For you know what is happening, a flash back here, a flash back there, a flash forward, in a flash you shall be forward.

Now speak your mind.

What is on your mind?

The tug of war, where I shift your territory, I draw a new line, for you are over the line. The alignment of an army of elite soldiers responding in agreement with my every move, as I move they move, in perfect synchronicity. Not the one but the many, so many. An explosion of power, the very land moving as we advance. An upswell, a ground swell, the very ground moving like a wave. The bursting forth of light, shattering the darkness. The puny arm bearing no muscle, scarred and bloody, in an arm wrestle with a giant, with your words “It is not a fair fight”, as they laugh at the ridiculousness of the battle and how you are positioned against all odds. You wipe the smile off their faces as I break the table and the arm of my opponent.

Why are you so concerned with fairness? When I have declared this is not a fair fight.

It’s like you are trying to negotiate an agreement with Goliath, just take him out, just step over him and engage with your real enemy.

For what does Samson and Legion have in common?

The strength of a thousand men! And they are both fighting against oppression and limitation.

Have I not given you the strength of a thousand?

Leviticus 26:7-9 And you shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword. Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight; your enemies shall fall before you by the sword. For I will be leaning toward you with favor and regard for you, rendering you fruitful, multiplying you, and establishing and ratifying My covenant with you.

Did you notice that at first the one shall chase the 20, then the one shall chase a hundred.

For this is very one sided.

Repeat after me “this is very one sided”.

You want to ask him “whose side are you on?”

Your expectation is off, for he is only on his own side.

You think the real question is…

Who is my enemy?

What have I asked you to do?

Stop crying out to me and move forward.

What is it you see right now at this moment?

The lines of demarcation drawn, the forces of darkness massing on the border. A huge army.

Yet have you not noticed who is on your side, for are there not more on your side than on theirs?

Take another look…

Yes take another look…

For you know who is behind you, you know who is before you, you know who is beside you.

Can you feel it…

For the ground shakes at your advance.

You think it is about the numbers, yet you declare to everyone but yourself that Gideon could have taken out his opponent as one man.

For you know I have stacked the odds in your favour.

You have seen the precedent…

Samson vs the Philistines Elijah vs the Prophets of Baal. Jonah vs the whole of Nineveh. Moses vs Pharaoh. David vs Goliath

For I love to pit the weakest, the most puny against the most powerful.

Your challenge is focus, do you analyse the odds and retreat, or do you agree with the promise and chase your enemy down?

For you shall cross the line.

For no man made boundary can stand in my way.

No natural boundary can stand in my way.

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
