Core Strength

Core Strength

Walk through the fall.

Come into the place of habitation.

The fall is in position. Walk through and open your mouth wide. For your mouth shall be full.

Step into the reflection, the water that flows, that flows over the edge.

Come not into the cave of darkness, but come out through the fall into light. Inhabit the light. Come out into the place of the promise.

Drenching. There will be a drenching.

Hold on to the water rail.

Rise up. Be not overwhelmed. Make a splash.

Psalms 107:23-32 Some go down to the sea and travel over it in ships to do business in great waters; These see the works of the Lord and His wonders in the deep. For He commands and raises up the stormy wind, which lifts up the waves of the sea. [Those aboard] mount up to the heavens, they go down again to the deeps; their courage melts away because of their plight. They reel to and fro and stagger like a drunken man and are at their wits’ end [all their wisdom has come to nothing]. Then they cry to the Lord in their trouble, and He brings them out of their distresses. He hushes the storm to a calm and to a gentle whisper, so that the waves of the sea are still. Then the men are glad because of the calm, and He brings them to their desired haven. Oh, that men would praise [and confess to] the Lord for His goodness and loving-kindness and His wonderful works to the children of men! Let them exalt Him also in the congregation of the people and praise Him in the company of the elders.

I’m raising the level. The tide is coming in. The water rises up to meet your net.

The crest of the wave impacts the net.

Lay it all down. Place the net before you and expect it to be full.

It rises before you. It is elevated to your level. It swells before you. It shall be swell. It shall be well. It shall be a well. No a fountain. For it rises up. It over flows from the deep. From the depths. From beneath, from under foot it shall rise.

Isaiah 58:11 And the Lord shall guide you continually and satisfy you in drought and in dry places and make strong your bones. And you shall be like a watered garden and like a spring of water whose waters fail not.

It can not be underfoot. It must rise up. It swells from the depths. It is a ground swell. An unexpected uprising. It shall come from beneath you, from the depths of your soul. From the core. Strength of the core, your core strength. For I declare you are strong at the depth of your core.

I inhabit the core, the centre of your being. I am your core strength.

Impenetrable at your core. No room for displacement, no deviation. No bending. No impact. An iron rod. An iron pillar.

Walk with the shower, a shower of blessing, an overflow. Like a fountain bursting forth in the dry place. It overflows on the edge. It ripples across the ground. It makes waves under it and over it. Impacted on all sides by the wave.

What I stand on is not fluid but solid. It flows at the edge but is solid underneath.

Psalms 46:1-5 To the Chief Musician. [A Psalm] of the sons of Korah, set to treble voices. A song. GOD IS our Refuge and Strength [mighty and impenetrable to temptation], a very present and well-proved help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change and though the mountains be shaken into the midst of the seas, Though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling and tumult. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]! There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the Most High. God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God will help her right early [at the dawn of the morning].

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
