Conviction

What is your conviction?

What convicts you?

Who is able to convict you?

Who is able to bind you?

For you are bound to be loosed.

In the place of bondage your role is to bring freedom.

I have called you to be a visual cue, and active demonstration of freedom.

Wherever you go, I want you to demonstrate freedom, show them the breaking of the chains, the broken chains, the marks which show where you were bound.

Demonstrate what it is like to be free.

For like Samson I have spoken this word over you…

“Nothing is able to bind him”

For you shall go places, you shall be led into the place of captivity, and yet there you shall bring freedom.

Before you arrive they shall call it “the place of captivity”, when you leave they shall call it “the place of freedom, the place where freedom was birthed, the place where freedom was released”

For you carry my rebellious spirit, a spirit that cannot be confined. In the place of the lions, I will shut their mouths, I will confine them to stillness, for I have given you the confidence to rest, to sleep, in the place where the enemy resides.

For the enemy is scared of you, get that into your mind, your head, your emotions, your feelings.

He trembles before you, he has no power to contain you, the schemes crafted to bring you down, actually elevate you into a higher position.

You know how the story goes, yet this one has a twist.

Led down by your friends into a place of confinement, into the hand of the oppressor, for you are a willing participant.

You show them regard, amidst their disregard for you, you are only concerned for their welfare.

They present you as a captive, and hand you over to the one who has power over them. They remind you that you are subject to their will.

And yet I have laid a trap for them. I have sent my one man ambush.

They laugh at the concept, and position you in their midst, seeking to make a spectacle of you, to ridicule, to spit upon, to bring down, to overthrow.

Judges 15:11-15 Then 3,000 men of Judah went down to the cleft of the rock Etam and said to Samson, Have you not known that the Philistines are rulers over us? What is this that you have done to us? He said to them, As they did to me, so have I done to them. And they said to him, We have come down to bind you, that we may deliver you into the hands of the Philistines. And Samson said to them, Swear to me that you will not fall upon me yourselves. And they said to him, No, we will bind you fast and give you into their hand; but surely we will not kill you. So they bound him with two new ropes and brought him up from the rock. And when he came to Lehi, the Philistines came shouting to meet him. And the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon Samson, and the ropes on his arms became as flax that had caught fire, and his bonds melted off his hands. And he found a still moist jawbone of a donkey and reached out and took it and slew 1,000 men with it.

Yet they do not learn from their past mistakes, their arrogance is their point of failure, for they underestimate the power I have placed within you.

Have you not seen, have you not heard, pay attention!

Brought into the place of confinement, the place of ritual, the place of the formula, the place where I interceded for you.

In the place of bondage, where you were unable to stand, what was released?

A cry of victory, a roar that physically shook the room, that caused the enemy to scatter.

It was the cry of freedom, the demonstration of freedom, the release of my power.

For I have shaken the foundations of the enemy, the ground they walk upon, falls from beneath their feet, for they shall fall at your feet.

Hold on to your courage, for I have silenced the dissing, for in your hand I have placed my sword of victory.

I have given you the power of freedom.

Prophesy release, speak release, for you are too strong for them.

Bound to be free, bound to bring freedom, bound to showcase freedom, the freedom spectacle.

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
