Clarity

Here is mud in your eye.

For the mud brings clarity.

John 9:6-7
When He had said this, He spat on the ground and made clay (mud) with His saliva, and He spread it [as ointment] on the man’s eyes.
And He said to him, Go, wash in the Pool of Siloam—which means Sent. So he went and washed, and came back seeing.

For that which is clean, clears away that which is dirty.

The muddied mirror cleaned by the finger of my touch.

For that which is pure makes way for that which is impure.

First shall be the shapes.

The shape of things to come.

Distinct shapes of that which is to come.

And they look like trees. What a laugh.

For you shall see that shape of that which grows. That which bears fruit.

Mark 8:23-25
And He caught the blind man by the hand and led him out of the village; and when He had spit on his eyes and put His hands upon him, He asked him, Do you [possibly] see anything?
And he looked up and said, I see people, but [they look] like trees, walking.
Then He put His hands on his eyes again; and the man looked intently [that is, fixed his eyes on definite objects], and he was restored and saw everything distinctly [even what was at a distance].

And when you walk through the mud, when the water subsides, there you shall find it and reap an abundant harvest.

For when you walked through the mud, I made a way for you. The mud was not too soft so that you could not make progress.

And now when you look back upon it, what do you see?

Traces of the flow, so many traces of the flow, patterns in the flow. That which was soft is now hard. And it is so much easier to walk upon that which is hard, than that which is soft.

And then what do you see?

Seed sprouting forth across the ground. An abundance rising.

A harvest forming from that which you walked upon.

And what was the purpose of the muddy path?

So that all who come for the harvest can see your footsteps.

And what is it you see now?

Mud splashing into the fountain, creating a concrete like pillar that stands high and stands out across the land.

Upon this pillar I am forming that which is solid and immovable, that which cannot be washed away.

What was a fountain, shall become a pillar, a monument, for all to see and remember all that I have done.

Like an altar made in remembrance of my handiwork.

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
