Circled
Going around in circles…
Feel like you are going around in circles?
For I am circling you.
I have put a circle around your name.
I have drawn attention to you.
I have marked you for special attention.
Deuteronomy 32:10-11 He found him in a desert land, in the howling void of the wilderness; He kept circling around him, He scanned him penetratingly, He kept him as the pupil of His eye. As an eagle that stirs up her nest, that flutters over her young, He spread abroad His wings and He took them, He bore them on His pinions.
For there was another that reminds me of you.
Circled by the enemy, surrounded by the enemy, with no way of escape.
Trapped with no way out.
Circled by those wth an intent to harm, to destroy, to kill, to eliminate.
Yet I had already made a way of escape.
More than a way of escape.
A path of reconciliation, a new way, a way to connect, a way forward, a path towards peace, a way to the place of fullness.
For they were hungry for your defeat, for your demise, to take you out, you were on their “take out” menu.
Yet I have already taken them away.
For they sought to take you out, but you would lead them in, lead them away, lead them forwards. From the place of destruction to the place of peace.
“I can’t stop thinking about your goodness”
For their perception of you was all wrong, they could not see how was before them. They sought to make war against you as they considered you the instrument of their defeat. And yet you are their instrument of victory, of peace, of reconciliation, of restoration, of connection, of abundance, of fullness.
Taken from the place of angst to the place of peace.
You struggle with how they perceive you, yet all you need to do is ask me to change that.
For who is it that gave them sight, who is it that opens their eyelids?
How does the image seen, become understood, how is the perception developed?
Who processes their image? Who does the developing?
Who determines the filter applied to the image they see?
Yet what determines your perception? How is it you see?
“I will lift my eyes, even in the pain, of all the lies, I know you can make a way, I have seen giants fall, I’ve seen mountains moves, I’ve seen waters part because of you”
“You have always been faithful”
“You were there, you were always there”
“I can’t stop thinking about your goodness”
I want you to tell them how I see it.
For my ways are not your ways, my thoughts are not your thoughts, my ways are higher than your ways.
Am I not THE WAY?
Have I not established your way, your goings?
What is your position on this? What is your stance? What is your posture?
For you have retreated to the tent, and yet it is I that am calling you out, I am calling you to come out.
How do you see it?
There are more on our side, than on theirs
You have spoken well.
For there is so much more on our side.
On their side is lack, is hate, is pain, is attack, is opposition, is defeat, is destruction.
On our side is joy, peace, abundance, fullness, unbounded abundance, fullness without boundary, overflow without limit, restored wholeness.
Tell them to come over to our side.
Come alongside them. Show them the way to peace.
2 Kings 6:14-23 Then he dispatched horses and chariots, an impressive fighting force. They came by night and surrounded the city. Early in the morning a servant of the Holy Man got up and went out. Surprise! Horses and chariots surrounding the city! The young man exclaimed, “Oh, master! What shall we do?” He said, “Don’t worry about it—there are more on our side than on their side.” Then Elisha prayed, “O God, open his eyes and let him see.” The eyes of the young man were opened and he saw. A wonder! The whole mountainside full of horses and chariots of fire surrounding Elisha! When the Arameans attacked, Elisha prayed to God, “Strike these people blind!” And God struck them blind, just as Elisha said. Then Elisha called out to them, “Not that way! Not this city! Follow me and I’ll lead you to the man you’re looking for.” And he led them into Samaria. As they entered the city, Elisha prayed, “O God, open their eyes so they can see where they are.” God opened their eyes. They looked around—they were trapped in Samaria! When the king of Israel saw them, he said to Elisha, “Father, shall I massacre the lot?” “Not on your life!” said Elisha. “You didn’t lift a hand to capture them, and now you’re going to kill them? No sir, make a feast for them and send them back to their master.” So he prepared a huge feast for them. After they ate and drank their fill he dismissed them. Then they returned home to their master. The raiding bands of Aram didn’t bother Israel anymore.
