Blossom

Blossom

In the quietness and in the stillness.

In the quietness I am still.

In the stillness I am still here.

Be still.

Experience my stillness.

Feel my stillness.

Receive the embrace of stillness.

Just breathe.

In and out.

In and out.

Within and without.

Showers of my affection.

Awash with my affection.

Just relax.

Everything little thing is going to be alright.

Just take a load off.

Just offload.

Just dump your load.

Cast your load upon me.

Like the biggest of dump trucks, just offload all the rubbish.

Let me be your dumping ground, your rubbish tip.

I am very good at waste disposal.

You feel the great outpouring of wisdom, like a raging torrent, wave upon wave.

Just wave goodbye to man made wisdom.

Pummelled on every side.

For your enemy says to you “take this, take that, receive this, receive that, feel this, feel that, let me show you how.”

Yet you just feel so numbed by it.

Assaulted by it.

For it is an affront to you.

For you hate the formula.

You need no prescription.

It makes you want to throw up.

Layer upon layer, take another layer they say, receive this, take that, let me explain it to you, they say.

They invite you to speak, but only after they have laid out the agenda.

They say, “this is what I had in mind, but feel free. I’ll just tell them all that you have a prophetic gift, and to watch out!”

Yet you are no show pony.

You find yourself wrestling with the old, yet I want you to embrace the new, set the standard for the new.

Break free from the old.

Yet it is like an old cobweb, the more I try to free myself from it, the more it clings to me.

Come on baby light my fire…

Seriously does this not fire you up!

It burns within like a Bunsen burner, like a raging fire bursting to get out from that which contains it. Yet I don’t want to be someone’s show.

Yet what if I am up to the task!

What if I want to put on a show!

What if I want to show them my power!

What if I want to blow their minds?

Yet here I feel like Samson, blinded and humiliated, ridiculed and mocked. Exposed and set up to fail.

Yet what if I want to pull down the enemies stronghold!

For your enemy trembles at your advance.

The pillars holding up the place shall fall.

For I have sent you to break every chain.

You see it again don’t you!

An explosion of confinement, every link, every chain scattered across the ground, unable to be put back together.

You say unto them, “why consult your fear, why take advice from your fear, why count the waves – will this in any way help you to move forward?”

Yet here you sit, pondering whether I have your back, wondering if I will respond to the challenge!

Did I not promise to have your back?

Am I not the solution to every problem?

Are you not already victorious?

Hear the words of your father,

For it is He that causes us to stand! I know Lord, there I was having the best conversation with my father, on and on we chatted, not wanting to stop, excited by all that you were saying. Truly majestic, truly glorious. His face shining like the sun, as you showed up! I could barely keep it together. And it was such a laugh that who would be the subject of our discussion but Job! Here my dying father was talking with me how Job counselled his counselors! And now here I am doing the same!

Am I not in the midst?

Am I not in the mist?

Was it not such a laugh, when you encourage your sister to break out of fear, and she said….

The best time, the best day of my life was in the mountains, where the mist fell, and ultimately the rain came, and my love built for us a fire under the cover of the rock, and then we ran up the mountain together in the rain.

Then she went on to say…

It is all about unity, is not so wonderful we are all here in unity, it is like the oil that falls down from above, and the dew that falls upon the high and lowly.

For you it was so profound.

Here the fearful one was speaking so boldly, with such power and authority that my spirit leaped within you.

For that which was before is no more.

Repeat after me “for that which was before is no more.”

You could feel the shift within and without.

For this is the time of great transformation, where the transformed one, will come to rest upon that which is transformed.

For does not the butterfly land upon the flower!

For you can feel your hands dripping with my flow.

Rising up the stem, releasing the power of growth.

For now is the time of the blossoming.

An abundance of blossoming.

For I have captured in my net an abundance of that which blossoms.

Song of Songs 2:10-13 My beloved speaks and says to me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away. For, behold, the winter is past; the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing [of birds] has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land. The fig tree puts forth and ripens her green figs, and the vines are in blossom and give forth their fragrance.Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.

For now is the time of your rising.

Now is the time.

Now is the time of the times.

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
