Before

That which is before you, is not before you.

What is before you, is not that which was before.

That which is before, is now behind you.

That which you see, is not that which is before you.

For you shall behold that which is to come.

For that which is to come is unrecognised, unrecognisable from that which was before.

For you behold the seed, yet what I have prepared for you is a forest.

You look for the seed, but I have prepared the harvest.

You bring your shovel, yet you will need an instrument of harvest.

Each day you arise and prepare to dig, to plant, to grind, to sharpen, to refine, to polish.

Over and over, over and over, over and over, over and over, over and over, for I am over it!

How is it you have grown?

How does the seed grow?

Who determines it’s size, the dimensions of its growth?

For the day is coming, and is here now, that you shall arise and go into the field, with spade in hand, expecting to dig, to toil with the soil, and yet it shall not be as you expect.

Behold I am doing a new thing.

Behold I have done a new thing.

For you shall arise and go into the field, and find yourself, yes find yourself.

For you have been looking for yourself for some time, for a long time.

Yet you have forgotten what you look like, for whom you have become is not whom you expected.

You are looking for the handsome one, the one whom your beloved could not take her eyes off, whose mouth dropped when she saw you, whose face lit up whenever she saw you, whose smile burst so wide that it filled the room with such joy!

You hope for the muscle, your look for the strength in your arm, your mighty arm.

Yet it hurts to move it, it aches with the injuries of the past.

You run in your imagination, you burst forth with joy as the wind blows in your face.

Yet this was just a dream, for when you awake it hurts to arise, it hurts to walk, it hurts to move.

Yet what was before is nothing like that which is to come.

For behold I am doing a new thing.

Say to yourself…

“My haven’t you grown!”

“My beloved is mine and I am hers”

“Your face is ravishing and your voice is soothing”

“Mighty, fierce, warrior, champion, the undefeated one, the one who perseveres….”

Hope against all hope, for you are not hope less, you are not without hope, for I am your hope!

Joy against all misery, for you are not without joy, for I pour out my joy upon you, my face is radiant towards you, my face lights up when I look upon you.

“You are giving us new memories, you are rewriting our story with your love”

For I am giving you a new prescription, a new perspective, a new outlook.

What is it that you now see?

A perfect house, set upon a vast plateau, at the base of a beautiful mountain. The sun shines upon it, the fields are full of grapes, full of fruit, perfect fruit. I wake in the morning, and go to the open door, expecting to see the barren land, but it is full of your fullness.

For it shall be so…..

For Isaac sowed seed in the drought and reaped a hundred fold increase!

For each day despite the conditions, you arose and went out, and planted, and dug, and planted, and I supplied the seed.

Was this not my seed that you planted?

Is it possible for my seed not to grow?

No for in it you have planted great potential, potential to grow.

Is it possible for me to provide a vehicle for great growth and yet for there to be none?

No, for your purposes shall stand, your word shall not return void. The Farmer plants the seed but is you Lord that provides the increase.

For the time of growth is coming and is here now.

For you know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you, not to harm you, to give you hope and a future.

The farmer looks upon the seed, digs the ground, buries the seed and waits with hope and expectation of the harvest.

For it is in my timing, it is the alignment that growth comes.

For the seed grows in the dark but then bursts forth into the light.

What is it I showed you just before you went to sleep???

Blossoming, blossoms, flowers bursting open, within and without, an abundance of blossoms. Song of Songs 2:11-16 For, behold, the winter is past; the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land. The fig tree puts forth and ripens her green figs, and the vines are in blossom and give forth their fragrance.Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away. So I went with him, and when we were climbing the rocky steps up the hillside, my beloved shepherd said to me O my dove, while you are here in the seclusion of the clefts in the solid rock, in the sheltered and secret place of the cliff, let me see your face, let me hear your voice; for your voice is sweet, and your face is lovely. My heart was touched and I fervently sang to him my desire Take for us the foxes, thelittle foxes that spoil the vineyards of our love, for our vineyards are in blossom. She said distinctly My beloved is mine and I am his! He pastures his flocks among the lilies.

For behold the winter is past, the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth… and the vines are in blossom.

For what you dream about matters to me, but is just a taste of what I have prepared for you…

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
