Be Strong
Be Strong!
Be strong and very courageous. Just be. I did not say try and strengthen yourself. Just receive and act on my word!
I am your strength. I am your shield. I am your sword. I am your armour.
1 Samuel 30:6 David was greatly distressed, for the men spoke of stoning him because the souls of them all were bitterly grieved, each man for his sons and daughters. But David encouraged and strengthened himself in the Lord his God. 1 Samuel 30:8 And David inquired of the Lord, saying, Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them? The Lord answered him, Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.
Strengthened to overtake and recover all.
Genesis 15:1 AFTER THESE things, the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram, I am your Shield, your abundant compensation, and your reward shall be exceedingly great.
Receive the light of my countenance. Bathe in the light of my countenance.
Job 29:19-25 My root is spread out and open to the waters, and the dew lies all night upon my branch. My glory and honor are fresh in me [being constantly renewed], and my bow gains [ever] new strength in my hand. Men listened to me and waited and kept silence for my counsel. After I spoke, they did not speak again, and my speech dropped upon them [like a refreshing shower]. And they waited for me as for the rain, and they opened their mouths wide as for the spring rain. I smiled on them when they had no confidence, and their depression did not cast down the light of my countenance. I chose their way [for them] and sat as [their] chief, and dwelt like a king among his soldiers, like one who comforts mourners. Psalms 44:3-6 For they got not the land [of Canaan] in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them; but Your right hand and Your arm and the light of Your countenance [did it], because You were favorable toward and did delight in them. You are my King, O God; command victories and deliverance for Jacob (Israel). Through You shall we push down our enemies; through Your name shall we tread them under who rise up against us. For I will not trust in and lean on my bow, neither shall my sword save me.
