About time

Succession…

In quick succession.

Ascension.

A rising up, an uprising.

Extension.

A reaching out.

The reaching out.

The stretching out.

The outreach.

The out stretched.

The stretching out.

Succession.

One thing after another.

One thing following another.

One thing coming after the next.

The coming after.

After that which is coming.

After that which is coming.

After that which is coming.

The coming after that which is before.

The coming after that which is before.

First the before, then the after.

The before and after.

For I am after that which is before.

I am before that which is after.

Let me say that again, I am before that which is after.

I am before that which was before.

I am after that which is after.

I am in between.

Am I not responsible for the line up?

Do I not know the sequence?

Am I not good with patterns?

I can handle complexity.

I make complex things simple.

Two arms, two legs – simple.

Yet who knows how all this works?

Who can grow another arm?

Even the concept of growth is beyond your reach.

How do you know how things shall grow?

For when should the growth start, and when should it stop?

For one thing leads to another.

At what point should the seed grow?

Is it not at the appointed time?

If you dig it up, can you see any growth?

How do you know when it will grow?

When the season changes.

Yes that is it.

When the season changes, the growth appears.

For in winter, the ability to grow lies dormant, for if it springs forth prematurely, will it not die?

Yet in spring, it burst forth, it blossoms, it expands, it multiplies, it bears much fruit.

Song of Songs 2:10-14 My beloved speaks and says to me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away. For, behold, the winter is past; the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land. The fig tree puts forth and ripens her green figs, and the vines are in blossom and give forth their fragrance.Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away. So I went with him, and when we were climbing the rocky steps up the hillside, my beloved shepherd said to me O my dove, while you are here in the seclusion of the clefts in the solid rock, in the sheltered and secret place of the cliff, let me see your face, let me hear your voice; for your voice is sweet, and your face is lovely.

It is time.

It is time.

It is time.

Time for a new season.

I say to you it is time.

It is time for a new season.

It is time for your appointment.

The time of your appointment has come.

The time has come.

For that which as before has gone.

For that which is to come has now arrived.

The arrival of the after is here.

Genesis 18:14 Is anything too hard or too wonderful for the Lord? At the appointed time, when the season for her delivery comes around, I will return to you and Sarah shall have borne a son.

For you know, now you know, for you have experienced the fulfilment of the promise.

Yet not one, but two.

Yet not one, but two.

Yet not one, but two.

One more for that which was lost.

Yet one more for that who was lost.

The double portion, for the prisoners of hope.

Not one, but two.

For I have more in store.

For I have more in store.

For I have more in store.

In my hand there is so much more.

“If you know there is more, for we know there is so much more, so much more, open the heavens over this place.”

Habakkuk 2:1-3 OH, I know, I have been rash to talk out plainly this way to God! I will in my thinking stand upon my post of observation and station myself on the tower or fortress, and will watch to see what He will say within me and what answer I will make as His mouthpiece to the perplexities of my complaint against Him. And the Lord answered me and said, Write the vision and engrave it so plainly upon tablets that everyone who passes may be able to read it easily and quickly as he hastens by. For the vision is yet for an appointed time and it hastens to the end fulfillment; it will not deceive or disappoint. Though it tarry, wait earnestly for it, because it will surely come; it will not be behindhand on its appointed day.

Now you know, now you have knowledge, and yet now you have revelation.

Here is your epiphany, in the midst of epiphanies.

Was it not your vision that was written down in the presence of those who will fulfil it?!

Galatians 6:9 And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint.

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
