A Broken Record

A Broken Record

Well that was unexpected!

You will get used to it.

For this shall be your regular expression.

For this is my expression for you.

For it shall not be as it was.

In this time, at this time, I am restoring time, this is the time of restoration.

First your mind, then your attitude, but most of all your expression.

What is your expression?

Yes that is it!

That is what I am looking for!

That amused look, that look where it looks like you are up to something.

Yes I am up to something.

You are up to something.

Something new.

Something more than amusing.

You can’t help but smile.

Those you are speaking with might look a little puzzled, but you will get used to it.

For now you know, now you have knowledge of that which they do not.

It will be impossible to wipe the smile off your face.

For this is my joy and delight.

Your face shall shine with my joy and delight.

For no reason, without reason, without logic, for no logical reason, everything is different now.

Did I not say “same but different”?

It looks the same but the outcome is now vastly different from what you expected.

For this is the season of unexpected blessing.

Sorry to wake you up with this thought playing over and over, but I wanted you to get it into the depths of your soul, for it shall play over and over, over and over, over and over, over and over, over and over, like a broken record.

For I have broken the record.

Yes I have broken the record.

For I will play this over and over, for every time you were over it, this is now the thought that replaces it.

Un-expect that which you expected, expect the unexpected.

Over and over, over and over, over and over, over and over, like writing lines in detention, write this out, over and over, over and over, over and over, over and over, 100 times over and over.

For I have broken the record.

For now you know.

I have broken the record of brokenness.

For I have broken that which was broken.

For I have broken brokenness.

For this is the time of restoration, the breaking of brokenness, the erasing of the record.

Now you see it, now you feel it, for the time is now.

Taken back.

For I have taken you back.

Your enemy will be taken back, will step back, will leap back, will back away, will back up, fall back, fall back “for we are overcome”.

Over and over, over and over, over and over, many times over.

What is it you see? How is it you feel?

The time of reversal. Backing up, a big truck full of fruit stolen by the enemy, backing up into a giant warehouse.

A swap, an exchange, new for old replacement.

I feel the tremor, the shaking, the disturbing of disturbance, the shaking of the ground causing the fruit to fall all around. Taken back to the time of the great falling, the great falling, the momentous moment of great momentum, a monument to this moment. The restoration of that which was erased, the plan soaked in my tears, words erased upon the page, dissolved by my tears, the tearing off of the final step, the end of all that I knew. Your word echoes in my ears again now “Take hold of my plan for I have hold of yours”. You mess me up Lord! In a moment, in an instant the words that were erased, restored, and words long forgotten now appearing in bold letters.

For I have broken the record.

Let me say that again “I have broken the record”.

A new world record!

A exception to every rule.

A freak of nature.

An exceptional event.

Like never before!

For I have called you out.

Genesis 41:14-16 Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon. But Joseph [first] shaved himself, changed his clothes, and made himself presentable; then he came into Pharaoh’s presence. And Pharaoh said to Joseph, I have dreamed a dream, and there is no one who can interpret it; and I have heard it said of you that you can understand a dream and interpret it. Joseph answered Pharaoh, It is not in me; God [not I] will give Pharaoh a [favorable] answer of peace.

I have placed you over.

I have placed you over the line.

I have placed you at the forefront.

Before the fall, I was.

After the fall, I AM.

The restoration of that which was erased.

The rebuilding of that which was broken.

My handiwork in your hands.

Genesis 41:38-44 And Pharaoh said to his servants, Can we find this man’s equal, a man in whom is the spirit of God? And Pharaoh said to Joseph, Forasmuch as [your] God has shown you all this, there is nobody as intelligent and discreet and understanding and wise as you are. You shall have charge over my house, and all my people shall be governed according to your word [with reverence, submission, and obedience]. Only in matters of the throne will I be greater than you are. Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, See, I have set you over all the land of Egypt. And Pharaoh took off his [signet] ring from his hand and put it on Joseph’s hand, and arrayed him in [official] vestments of fine linen and put a gold chain about his neck; He made him to ride in the second chariot which he had, and [officials] cried before him, Bow the knee! And he set him over all the land of Egypt. And Pharaoh said to Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without you shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt.

The time of your graduation is here.

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
