Rest

Enter into rest and be at peace.

Enter into my rest and be at rest.

Who is it that you rest upon?

Who is it that keeps you afloat.

Here you find yourself.

Here you have found yourself upon the shore.

The gentle waves lapping at your feet.

The gentle breeze blowing upon your face.

Just say “ahhhhh”

Breathe in and breathe out.

Rest upon that which flows.

Just relax.

That’s it just relax.

Close your eyes and be at peace.

Feel my peace washing over you.

For this is the season of rest.

At first you feel agitated. You feel like there is something that you must do.

But then my rest falls upon you.

For there is no need to move.

For there is no need to move.

Just enter into my rest and be at peace.

Hebrews 4:1-3 THEREFORE, WHILE the promise of entering His rest still holds and is offered today, let us be afraid to distrust it, lest any of you shouldthink he has come too late and has come short of reaching it. For indeed we have had the glad tidings Gospel of God proclaimed to us just as truly as they the Israelites of old did when the good news of deliverance from bondage came to them; but the message they heard did not benefit them, because it was not mixed with faith (withthe leaning of the entire personality on God in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness) by those who heard it;neither were they united in faith with the ones Joshua and Caleb who heard (did believe). For we who have believed (adhered to and trusted in and relied on God) do enter that rest, in accordance with His declaration…..

Just relax and receive my peace.

For this moment shall be momentous.

For where did you find yourself.

Where was the moment that defined your life.

For the sure thing found you upon the shore.

The person that you are most certain of. The only person that brings peace and joy to your life.

For you had come away in order to get away.

Yet you could not leave her.

Impressed beyond impression. That moment left an imprint upon your life.

For my love found you. My peace found you. My joy found you. My rest found you.

Come closer, come a little closer, for you can’t hold yourself back. You must come closer.

Compelled to enter in.

Compelled to invite her over.

Compelled to draw closer.

Closer and closer. Come a little closer.

For my love holds your hand.

The pinnacle of your experience shall be great peace and a lifestyle of rest.

For I am disturbing that which disturbs you with great peace, everlasting peace.

For at the top at the highest level I have made a giant bed for you to rest upon.

Whatever comes to disturb you shall be disturbed by your peace, by the rest that you possess.

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; My own peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.

From the rough place, shall come the smoothest place, great smoothness resting upon the rough place.

For I am pouring out great smoothness.

The season of great gentleness is upon you, rests upon you.

Psalms 18:31-40 For who is God except the Lord? Or who is the Rock save our God, The God who girds me with strength and makes my way perfect? He makes my feet like hinds’ feet able to stand firmly or make progress on the dangerous heights of testing and trouble; He sets me securely upon my high places. He teaches my hands to war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You have also given me the shield of Your salvation, and Your right hand has held me up; Your gentleness and condescension have made me great. You have given plenty of room for my steps under me, that my feet would not slip. I pursued my enemies and overtook them; neither did I turn again till they were consumed. I smote them so that they were not able to rise; they fell wounded under my feet. For You have girded me with strength for the battle; You have subdued under me and caused to bow down those who rose up against me. You have also made my enemies turn their backs to me, that I might cut off those who hate me.

For the strongest one must hold the hand of the weakest one the most gently.

For I have given you great strength.

The power to overcome.

The power to overcome.

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
