Lies

What is it that lies before you?

What is it that lies before you?

For it was a special gift.

A special gift from your father.

A covering of great affection.

A covering bestowing a great affection.

And there it lies before you.

Torn asunder.

Ripped apart.

A bloody mess.

Covered in blood.

That which was once a work of art, expressive of the greatest desire.

Now it lies before you.

Yes it rests upon the ground before you.

Yet is not as it appears.

For now it “lies” before you.

Don’t be tempted by what you see.

Don’t be distracted by its appearance.

For you say unto yourself “it seems to me”.

For you say unto yourself “it appears to me”.

For this dismantle is nothing like the remantle.

The dissing of that which was, serves no purpose than to derail, to destroy, to lay off, to pull down, to break down.

Yet it pulls at you, it tears at you, it rips you apart, it tears you apart.

You say unto yourself “get it together man”.

You say unto yourself “pull yourself together man”.

Yet.

And yet.

And yet this is what I want you to do.

Look again.

For that which was is no more.

The past has passed.

The departed have departed.

The fount now replaced with the fountain.

That which was torn asunder manifest before you.

For it is the pull of great darkness.

A giant black hole that causes you to step back.

It pulls at you. It tears at you but shall not have you.

Have I not given you a fresh coat?

A new coat.

A new mantle.

A royal robe.

A blanket of authority.

A blanket authority.

A fresh covering.

The finest robe from the greatest ruler.

Indeed a new mantle.

For what is the difference between the peasant and the prince, the downcast or the outcast?

Is it not what one is wearing?

For I am putting on the finishing touches.

I am putting on the finishing touches.

I am touching that which is finished.

For this is no ordinary coat.

Not one of those tailor made jackets that restricts your movement.

This is the coat of the way maker.

For what lies before you appears.

For what lies before you appears to be impassable, impossible, with no bridge to cross.

Yet you cannot stay here.

For who lives at the point of departure?

Who lives at the departure lounge?

For is this not the place of departure?

Is this not the launching pad?

Have I not given you the vehicle of transformation?

Indeed.

Indeed have I not done the doing!

For the old shall become the new.

And the new like the old.

For my mantle is transformative.

That which is rests upon shall change, shall be unlike it was before.

For first the ground quakes at your advance.

Second that which flows responds to your direction.

Third in the demonstration of transformation everything changes.

For they shall talk differently about you.

And you shall know.

And all shall know, who it is that is responsible.

For despite how you feel.

In the place of your greatest loss, shall come your greatest gain.

For I will perform my word.

Despite the pain.

In spite of the pain, shall come much gain.

For I am transforming your tongue.

I am conferring my power.

I am bestowing a fresh coat of many colours.

Crafted by my hand.

A garment expressive of my love and affection.

A robe or royalty.

For you shall speak my words like never before.

Yes that is my power that you feel.

For all that you desire lies before you.

For that which you laid down, you shall pick up, shall pick you up.

For I am chosen you, I have appointed you, I have fashioned you for this purpose.

For your first step will break the boundaries of all that has gone before.

For you came into it with power, and now leave possessing all power.

For the words you spoke at his departure shall define you.

For mark my words you shall be marked by my word.

There it is, the final touch, a splash of gold.

For it shall be glorious.

2 Kings 2:12-15
And Elisha saw it and he cried, My father, my father! The chariot of Israel and its horsemen! And he saw him no more. And he took hold of his own clothes and tore them in two pieces.
He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him and went back and stood by the bank of the Jordan.
And he took the mantle that fell from Elijah and struck the waters and said, Where is the Lord, the God of Elijah? And when he had struck the waters, they parted this way and that, and Elisha went over.
When the sons of the prophets who were [watching] at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha. And they came to meet him and bowed themselves to the ground before him.

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
