Gone

Gone

I see your hand upon a giant door, slamming it shut and locking it behind you and hear these words from your lips....

It’s over and gone.

It’s over and gone.

As your words echo across the land I respond to your call and this is what I found...
Psalms 103:16
For the wind passes over it and it is gone, and its place shall know it no more.
I see your breath blowing upon the dry barren desert, flicking up the dust.

I’m stirring up that which is barren, that which lies dormant, for that which is, is no more, and now that which was now is.

For the word is “heretofore” and “herewith” it comes.

For that which was always present now comes into the light. For when you can see nothing that which is present comes to light. For when you can see nothing, what is it you feel?

The gentle breeze of your love, your presence.

Yes that is right, I am right “here with”you.

And what is it you now see with my eyes?

A beautiful land, flowing with milk and honey, a flourishing land with many unique flourishes. A colourful land full of unique fruit. A special land set aside for us.
And you reach out your hand inviting us to come.
I was going to say “I’m not going unless you are coming with us”, and before I could open my mouth you declare “I’m here with you”.

For you have chosen the path of the immaterial.

The reason why you have nothing under your feet, is that you were always designed to fly.

Yet even the birds and butterflies come into land, and rest their feet upon the ground at times.

Yet your future will be so unlike your past.

For it is over and gone.

Song of Songs 2:11-13
For, behold, the winter is past; the rain is over and gone.
The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing [of birds] has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land.
The fig tree puts forth and ripens her green figs, and the vines are in blossom and give forth their fragrance.Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.

Did you not smell it?

Did you not sense it?

For I have taken you to an unfamiliar place.

Yes Lord I had to find a shelter from the sun, and seated here it smells so different, it has such a different smell.

It is over and gone.

In the season of winter nothing grows, everything finds shelter from the snow. Nothing moves quickly, everything requires a lot of preparation, for you need more layers to protect you from the elements. Yet in this season of warmth, you have freedom of movement, and little preparation is required.

This season will be manifestly different.

For when that which covers is removed you can see and experience that which lies beneath. For when I remove the covers you will see what I prepared for you in this season.

For that which you see and experience is different in each season. Yet my goodness remains, my love remains, my joy remains, my peace remains, my purpose remains, my covenant remains. When nothing remains, my love remains.

For what else did I show you?

I could see a giant, ferocious storm approaching, and you were closing the door for our protection. Yet on the other side we found ourselves on the outside, it was like you had locked away the storm so that we could roam freely.

For I want you to see clearly now.

I am giving you are calm place to give birth to all that I have promised. For the turbulence shall cease. For I say unto the storm “Peace be still!” For you shall inhabit my peace and be covered with rest.

For so do you remember?

Thankyou for the memories of your goodness, the pleasure of your goodness and kindness. The power of your presence, the smoothing of the path as I drove off into the distance. Your literal moving out of the day anything that got in my way. Thankyou.

It is just a lesson in what I will do for you know as you move forward.

Yet do you remember?

Do you remember the sound?

Yes Lord I remember. The sound of a big truck starting up as you swept out the floor of a giant warehouse!

As you have cleared out the old, I’m making way for the new! For what was, is over and now it departs from you, it fades into the distance. What is heretofore now comes to the forefront. What was deposited in you must now come out of you. For you have outgrown your container.

It was no surprise to you when the pastor prayed for growth of influence and business.

For when the transformed arise. When that which was beneath now rises. When that which crawled now flys, the seed is carried and multiplies.

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
