Flow

For what impact does the storm have on my flow?

It serves to increase the volume, to magnify, to amplify, to lift the amplitude of my wave.

For you are my flow.

For what concern is it for that which is already wet, that it rains?

For you stand in my storm, you go with my flow.

For you are my fountain, you are my spring, the fountain is my foundation.

It bursts forth across the land.

It seeps in, deep within the land. There shall be no run off, no running off.

For what impact can prevent my flow. For my overflow, flows over, flows over.

What can stand in the way of my flow.

For my fountain overflows.

For my fountain invades the land.

Before they know it, before they know it, before they have knowledge of it, my flow invades their thinking, pervades their thinking. What was dry, what was lifeless, shall come to life.

The arid land, now the lush green pasture. The unproductive land, shall produce.

Joel 2:21-27 Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice, for the Lord has done great things! Be not afraid, you wild beasts of the field, for the pastures of the wilderness have sprung up and are green; the tree bears its fruit, and the fig tree and the vine yield their full strength. Be glad then, you children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord, your God; for He gives you the former or early rain in just measure and in righteousness, and He causes to come down for you the rain, the former rain and the latter rain, as before. And the threshing floors shall be full of grain and the vats shall overflow with juice of the grape and oil. And I will restore or replace for you the years that the locust has eaten—the hopping locust, the stripping locust, and the crawling locust, My great army which I sent among you. And you shall eat in plenty and be satisfied and praise the name of the Lord, your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you. And My people shall never be put to shame. And you shall know, understand, and realize that I am in the midst of Israel and that I the Lord am your God and there is none else. My people shall never be put to shame.

From the stagnant place, shall come forth my life. The fish in the pond.

The symbol and source of blessing. For I have placed myself in the gap!

For I have placed myself in the gap.

For I have placed myself in the gap.

For I inhabit the gap. For I have taken up residence in the gap.

For my fullness overflows in the gap.

For my fullness flows. For my fullness flows across the land.

For without rain, without flood, my flow appears.

For I will make this ground fruitful. For I have spoken this word before….

Plop, plop, plop!

Yet now my fruit is carried by the flow. For I have no need of the tree, for out of my flow shall the fruit appear.

It rises up from beneath, for that which was held back, that which was pressed down, that which was bound beneath, now rises above.

For me this is easy, this requires no effort, it is effortless.

2 Kings 3:15-18 But now bring me a minstrel. And while the minstrel played, the hand and power of the Lord came upon Elisha. And he said, Thus says the Lord: Make this dry brook bed full of trenches. For thus says the Lord: You shall not see wind or rain, yet that ravine shall be filled with water, so you, your cattle, and your beasts of burden may drink. This is but a light thing in the sight of the Lord. He will deliver the Moabites also into your hands.

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
